Measure what already works.
Choose a similar garment you enjoy wearing. Lay it flat on a level surface, smooth it gently and measure without stretching the fabric.
- A / Chest width
- Measure straight across from one underarm seam to the other. This is a flat width, not your body circumference.
- B / Shoulder width
- Measure across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other.
- C / Body length
- Measure from the highest shoulder point beside the collar to the hem.
- D / Sleeve length
- Measure from the shoulder seam to the cuff. Dropped shoulders can change how this measurement feels.
Three ways to wear it.
Slim
A closer outline with less room through the body. Compare with a slim piece you already like.
Relaxed
A little more space for movement and light layers. Start with the shape you reach for most often.
Oversized
More volume and a deliberately broader silhouette. Check length and shoulder position as well as width.
Read the label. Check the shape.
